| E-mail: | khirsah_le@yahoo.com | |||||||||
| Bio: | General Information Name: Leighton Andrew Wilder Nicknames: Lee Age: 36 Birthday: September 29, 1972 Day of Birth/Color: Friday/ Blue/ Death Gender: Male Myth Name: Lee “Apollo” Adama Myth: Battlestar Galactica Section: Television Special Powers: None Retained/Acquired Powers: Persuasiveness and charisma: Lee can make people believe what he tells them, make them believe in him, but only when he feels strongly about the subject/issue. Appearance Height: 6’2 Eyes: Hazel Hair: Dark brown and unruly/spiky. The spikes are due more to cowlicks than any styling. In fact, his hair defies styling. Thankfully the overall effect looks somewhat cool and deliberate. Build: Lean but noticeably built. Lee works out, and it shows. Dress Style: Casual, usually in black. When he’s not wearing black, he’s wearing dark colors. Sometimes he comes to town in his fatigues or dress uniform. He wears a bit of leather around his wrist and mirrored sunglasses. Lee’s almost always in combat boots and is always wearing his dog tags. Skills Strength: 8 Dexterity: 7 Constitution: 7 Intelligence: 9 Wisdom: 6 Charisma: 5 Psychology IQ: Very bright Phobias/Fears: Failure—either failing his mission, failing a person, or failing the universe in general; being responsible for the deaths of others; being permanently incapacitated; becoming his father. Mental Health: The military has its suspicions, but Lee aces every psychological test thrown at him. In fact, he aces them all with perfect uniformity, leading a few shrewd psychologists to wonder if he’s not manipulating the results. Either way, his tests say he’s stable, so he must be stable. (But notes have been made about his constant risk-taking, his willingness to run what many consider suicide missions, and his lack of reasonable fear.) Religious Beliefs: He’s open-minded, but he doesn’t worship anyone. Extrovert/Introvert: Introvert, though not shy. Health Eyesight: Good Hearing: Good Left/Right/Ambi: Left Physical Health: Quite good, despite the number of times he’s been injured. General Dexterity: Excellent. Lee’s fast and limber. Handicaps: Arthritis in “problem spots” due to several serious breaks and injuries; old scars that ache when the weather turns cold. Special Abilities: Trained in flying several kinds of aircraft; military training in weapons and hand-to-hand; good sense of direction and excellent spatial sense; fast talk; rudimentary knowledge of several languages (including Spanish, Hebrew, and Arabic); some minor musical ability; mental math. Personality Goals/Dreams: He’s doing something he cares about. He figures someday someone will shut him down or he’ll get injured in the line of duty and have to retire to a desk...which isn’t happening. So once this job is done for one reason or another, he figures he’ll have to find a new dream. Quirks/Habits: Has a very expressive face and isn’t afraid of looking like a giant dork; tends to wear dark colors; uses military time; always throws himself into situations and overthinks them later. Likes: Flying; law; philosophy; reading; working out; “extreme” sports; his job; helping people; bluesy bars; going jogging at sunrise; the heat. Dislikes: Being unable to clear his mind; psychologists; being pestered or nagged about something; being compared to anyone else; being told what to do (yeah, he has to swallow that down); standing idly by. Current Family Parents: Luke and Dolores Siblings: Ross, younger Spouse/Serious Lover: Alison Children: William, deceased Close friends and other notable: Several, but he's just returned to Tampa, so none here. Past Family Parents: William and Carolynn Adama Siblings: Zak Spouse/Serious Lover: Dee; Kara Children: None Close friends and other notable: Quite a few—people either came together or fractured completely after the Cylon attack, and Lee was the CAG for some time. Present Background Occupation: He used to be an Air Force pilot. Now he’s a Lt. Colonel assigned to “Public Relations/Internal Communications” in a specialized field known as SitRep, or “shitrep” as they call it. Basically he and a small team (including camera men) are sent in to any brewing situation—whether natural or political—in order to suss out the climate and report back to command. They’re put in the line of fire often to determine the local feelings and decide whether it’s too hot for military movement—or whether military movement is needed immediately. When not filming abroad, he and his men edit the tapes together and give Situational Representations to the military at their home base. Domain of: Hathaway Education: Masters, thanks to the US government Activities: Work; working out; randomly filming/photographing shit; wandering; reading. Home: Where he hangs his hat? He has his father’s house now, but he and his brother haven’t decided what to do with it. Finance: Hazard pay is pretty amazing. History: Lee was born the oldest of two sons to a career military man and his social climbing wife. It was never a happy household—Colonel Wilder was borderline abusive and Dolores was very hands-off when it came to raising her children, though she enjoyed using them to impress her friends. It was a stifling, tense atmosphere with very few outlets and almost no margin for error. Lee responded to the harsh criticisms and even harsher expectations by excelling in almost everything; Ross wasn’t so lucky. By necessity, Lee and Ross became very close growing up, each running interference for the other when necessary. When the Colonel was injured and desked, the situation went from bad to worse. They were stationed in Tampa, and the family didn’t have much to do but drive each other crazy. Lee entered the military because that’s what his father wanted for him, but he found quickly that he had a talent for it. Over the years, he began finding his own way, moving from piloting to SitRep. He was always restless, angry, and a little reckless, rocketing up rank due to daredevil stunts thinly veiled as “heroic acts”. He was searching for something more. Lee thought he’d found what he was looking for when he met and married Alison, but he was wrong—it didn’t take long for them to realize they were completely unsuited for each other. Alison wanted a dashing, put-together husband who would make it to Admiral someday, and Lee wasn’t on that track. They’ve been trying to work it out, but the marriage has been failing ever since the honeymoon. The loss of their young son, William, drove the final wedge between them. Lee and Alison are now separated, Alison living in Vermont while Lee travels the world. Recently, Lee received news that his father passed away, leaving him and his brother the family house in Tampa. He and Ross have come home to deal with the funeral and their father’s estate—and are both, for the time being, living in the creepy shrine to their spectacularly sucky childhood. Past Background Occupation: Viper pilot, CAG, commander, council member and president of the twelve colonies. Rarely all at once. Education: One assumes highly Activities: Work, work, work. That’s really all there was while they were running for their lives/trying to find Earth. Drinking, running drills, fighting with Starbuck, keeping his men in line, overthinking everything. Home: Galactica Finance: Pretty well off at first, but it didn’t matter so much later. History: Lee Adama Romantic Marital Status: Married, though it’s strained.
